kinoco
もうひとつ濃地のプリントが"kinoco"です。
このキノコ柄が出来上がったきっかけは、とある古本屋さんで「原色日本菌類図鑑」という古い図鑑を手にしたことでした。
その図鑑には奇妙でかわいいキノコの図柄がたくさん掲載されていて、私たちはすっかりその古本に魅了されてしまったわけです。
そこで目にしたキノコのシルエット的な要素を重点的に抜き出して極端に抽象化することにより、なんともkinky(ヘンテコ)でかわいいモチーフができあがりました。
その柄行きは「uwaru」 シリーズのなかでももっとも小さく、生地の用途もいろいろ広がりそうなのが特色です。

about “kinoco”
I encountered an old book of “The Illustrated Book of Japanese Fungi in Primary Colors" at a second-hand book store. There are so many illustrations of mashrooms, I was completely fascinated it. Focusing on the silhouette-like elements of the mushrooms illustrated there, and I turned them into my original drawing with abstracting approach. The pattern is the smallest in the "uwaru" series, and the fabric is characterized by its potential for a wide range of uses.
