通気性のよい薄手の平織りコットン生地で大判ハンカチを作りました。
サイズは53cm角とバンダナの定番サイズほどあり使い方も色々ありそうです。

un
木へんに雲と書いて「橒(きさ)」と読む漢字があります。本来は木材の年輪などがつくり出す模様を意味する漢字ですが、この「橒」を音読みすると「うん」と読むことができます。今回の「uwaru」の新作は「un」と名付けました。
地中海沿岸が原産のシソ科の植物"cut-leafed germander"をモデルに常緑低木らしいその丸みを帯びた愛らしいシルエットに、土に埋まっている根の部分まで全て描き出し、シンプルに配置することで、まるで宙に浮いているようなその姿は雲のように、ある種哲学的で不思議な雰囲気が出来上がりました。

About "un"
The rounded, lovely silhouette of the evergreen shrub-like plant, "cut-leafed germander," native to the Mediterranean, is modeled on the plant, and the roots buried in the soil are all drawn out and simply arranged, giving it the appearance of floating in midair, like a cloud. The result is a mysterious and philosophical atmosphere.
