モチーフになっているのは南アフリカに生息する塊根植物のペラルゴニウム・トリステ（Pelargonium triste）。古木のような一見さえない姿から涼しい季節になると生えてくる繊細でふわふわとした不思議な葉は多くの珍奇植物愛好家を虜にしています。この稀有な植物が題材となって出来上がった柄は、眺めてみると何故か「和」の雰囲気も漂う不思議で魅力的なプリントになりました。

The motif is Pelargonium triste, a tuberous plant native to South Africa. Its delicate, fluffy, mysterious leaves, which grow in the cool season out of a seemingly simple old tree-like form, have captivated many lovers of rare plants. This rare plant is the subject of this pattern, and when you look at it, you can see a mysterious and fascinating print that somehow has a "Japanese" feel to it.
