手のひらサイズの巾着は、外側と内側には違う生地を使用したリバーシブル仕立てにしました。
バッグの中で散らばりがちな小さなアイテムをまとめるのにとっても便利。
ちょっとしたお返しやプレゼントにも最適。
生地の出方はさまざま。どれも印象的なトリミングで全て一点ものです。

pachycaul(パキカウル)とは、ラテン語で "pachy" (ずんぐりとした)と、"caulis"(茎、幹)の２つの単語からなる合成語で、木質化した太い幹や根を持った多肉植物の総称であるcaudex(塊根植物)の別名です。
必然と偶然の組み合わせによって生まれたその姿は、まさに珍奇植物と呼ぶにふさわしく、今回は自らが集め育ててきた塊根植物たちをモデルにデザインしモチーフを描きあげていき、珍奇でありながらもなぜか愛らしいルックスをプリントで表してみました。

Pachycaul is a compound of the Latin words "pachy" (stubby) and "caulis" (stem, trunk), and is another name for caudex (tuberous root plant), a general term for succulent plants with thick, woody trunks and roots. These plants, which are born from a combination of necessity and coincidence, can be called "rare plants." This time, I designed and drew motifs based on the tuberous plants I have collected and nurtured, and tried to express their unusual yet somehow adorable looks in print.
